About the Volunteer Role
During the COVID-19 outbreak, refugees/asylum seekers will be feeling the impact of self-isolation. Those who lack English language skills may struggle to get the help and support they need for themselves and their families.
We are looking for Telephone Welcome Mentors to help assist asylum seekers/refugees. Volunteers will be expected to contact families and enquire as to how they are feeling, offer them support and assist in whatever way they can. All mentors will be reimbursed for all calls made.
