My Guide Sighted Guide

Guide Dogs exists to provide life-changing services to the 360,000 people who are registered blind or partially sighted, and the two million people in the UK living with sight loss. We provide a range of services with and beyond the dog to help thousands of people with different needs lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.

My Guide is a service we offer that helps people living with sight loss to gain and maintain independence with the support of a My Guide sighted guide volunteer. Our volunteers undergo training and learn to safely guide someone with sight loss, navigating environments and building self-confidence - all whilst increasing social interaction with those who may not otherwise wish to leave their home.
