Volunteer Role TitleMeeter and Greeter
About the Volunteer RoleThe Baby Bistro at the Jubilee Centre is run by trained volunteer mums, who use their breastfeeding experience to support mums to breastfeed their babies. Our Peer Supporters are trained to support mums experiencing simple breastfeeding problems. The support groups also provide mums with the opportunity to get together in an informal environment, to socialise and support each other in all aspects of feeding their babies, whether this be breast, bottle or mixed. In this role you will meet and greet parents and children arriving at the support group. Set up and clear away play equipment, health promotional boards and stands (including posters and leaflets), before and after each session. Provide support to either the Peer Supporters’ children or the older siblings of those parents receiving support. The sessions take place on Tuesday mornings (9:15-11:45am, term time) at the Jubilee Centre, Huddersfield, HD1 4SH.
