Flu Clinic Support Volunteer

We are Curo Health – a GP federation formed from 27 general practices spanning 4 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across North Kirklees. We proudly work together as a community of general practices to help save money, secure investment, strengthen our teams and deliver high quality primary care services at scale – such as evening and weekend appointments.

    Flu Clinic Support Volunteer
  • About the Volunteer Role
    Between September and December we will be offering a drive-thru flu clinic to priority groups in North Kirklees. The clinics will be located in the following three areas: Opposite Dewsbury Health Centre, at Henrietta Street Car Park in Batley and at Princess Mary Athletics Stadium in Cleckheaton. As a Flu Clinic Support Volunteer you will be meeting and greeting patients who arrive by car or on foot, checking people in and directing them in and out of our vaccination bays. You will be providing important support to the nursing team managing the tented clinic, by helping the sessions run smoothly. You will be interacting with people at a 2 metre distance, PPE will be provided including weatherproof clothes and high-vis as this role will involve you directing traffic and working outdoors. You will be offered volunteer sessions in 4 hour blocks which you can book via our online rota system, the clinics will be open Monday to Saturdays with some daytime and evening slots available. This role will be of interest to anyone who would like to gain experience working alongside a nursing team in a healthcare environment and who would like to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in North Kirklees during COVID.
