About this opportunity
o Making refreshments for patients during their time within the unit (with guidance from the rehab team, as some patients may have swallowing restrictions)
o Socialising with patients in the waiting area before and after their rehabilitation
o Liaising with the ambulance crew to let them know when patients are ready to be taken home
o Supporting the rehab team after sessions by:
Putting rehabilitation equipment way – such as mats
Clearing beds and preparing them for next session

o Friendly and a good listener
o Able to be left with little supervision after suitable training has been undertaken
o Need to be aware of patient confidentiality and professional boundaries (would be discussed during face-to-face interview)
Date and details
To avoid conflicting boundaries, volunteers would not be recruited to this role if they have previously been a service user of the Jubilee rehabilitation service.
Smart/casual skirt or trousers should be worn (i.e. tracksuit bottoms, chinos), rather than jeans.
Travel expenses can be reimbursed (43p per mile, public transport fees).
