Friendly and confident Volunteer to support Cancer Charity

The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust is the only UK Charity funding research into the types of cancer affecting teenagers and young adults, They also fund support for teenage cancer patients across 43 hospitals.

The charity is looking for a Lottery Promotion Volunteer to attend fairs, businesses and community events in the Kirklees and Calderdale area.

This is ideal role for someone who likes getting out and about and meeting people.

Suitable for over 18s, own transport would be useful but not essential.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice seeks Volunteer Shop Assistants

If you are interested in  gaining new experiences and enhancing your skills then the Volunteer Shop Assistant role could be for you!

Current vacancies at two Forget Me Not Shops:

Manchester Road, Huddersfield HD1 3JF and

11 Victoria Street, Holmfirth HD9 7DF.

Role is flexible, and may include serving customers, handling money, sorting and steaming clothes, merchandising and training and supporting younger volunteers.

Are you an eBay Wizard?

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice use eBay as an extra outlet for goods  donated to their charity shop.  They are looking for a volunteer who can spare about half a day a week to list items on eBay including researching prices, photographing goods and packing sold items.

The shop is based on Manchester Road, Huddersfield HD1 3JF.
