Retail opportunities with Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice

About this opportunityFMNCH

Volunteers are wanted at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice’s retail shops in Heckmondwike and Holmfirth, they’re involved behind the scenes sorting and pricing donated stock or in the shop helping to display goods for sale and serving customers. Volunteers also help to keep the shop clean and tidy.

About the organisation

To provide hospice & respite services for children with life-limiting illnesses across Kirklees, Wakefield & Calderdale.

What are they looking for?

It is helpful if volunteers have done this sort of work before, however, it is not essential because new volunteers will be trained to do the tasks we ask of them. If volunteers work in the shop they will need to be comfortable talking to members of the public and handling money.

Date and details

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice offers full training to volunteers along with the opportunity for some volunteers to progress to a retail role involving more responsibility.
The minimum age for volunteers is 14.
Registered volunteers can claim travel expenses connected with their volunteer role.
