About this opportunity

The Resource Administration Assistant Volunteer will assist with the day to day running of the hire side of our work, The Elms, which consists of a sports hall, training and group/counselling rooms. Keeping records of hirer’s, dealing with enquiries and maintaining a booking diary, as well as promoting the service to attract more users. Maintaining our resource library, reception duties, other admin work as required

About the organisation

They aim to provide a professional counselling service for anyone in need, on a donations basis. They also hire out their training and group rooms and a sports hall to local community groups at affordable rates as well as running their own counsellor training programme.

What are they looking for?

Essential: Experienced in Microsoft Office suite, previous office experience, good communication and organisational skills, reliable, ability to maintain confidentiality and be able to work on own initiative

Desirable: Previous experience of advertising and/or dealing with room bookings

Date and details

They are two miles from the town centre, based at the top of New Street, in Milnsbridge, we are easily accessible from Manchester Road, with our own secure car park and also on a main bus route.

All new workers have an induction prior to starting their role.

On the job training and support is provided when needed.

Travel expenses can be paid.

The opportunity can be undertaken in normal office hours to suit both parties between Mon to Thurs.

A minimum commitment of half a day per week would be required.
