There are a large number of young people wanting to join Girl Guiding but there aren’t enough adult volunteers to run the units, so girls are missing out. No matter how much time you have to give, there’s an opportunity for you! There’s vacancies now across Spen Valley; Birkenshaw, Cleckheaton, Gomersal, Roberttown, Schole & Liversedge. No experience required!
It’s a fantastic way to enjoy a wide range of activities, whilst supporting girls from age from 5 upwards in a safe, relaxed and friendly environment. Every Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Senior Section Unit has at least one unit leader who has completed the Girlguiding UK leadership qualification. Units are managed by a team with individuals being responsible for finances etc. Leaders and assistant leaders work with the girls to plan activities and enjoy a full range of fun activities.
About the organisation
