What do motor vehicles and clothes have in common? You may think not a lot but on Thursday 16th February 2017 Trust Ford went on their first day of employee volunteering to Oxfam Online in Batley. (Who are always keen to involve corporate or employee volunteers, or even social groups looking to give their time. Groups get the chance to prepare high-quality donations for sale on their online shop, from photography to online listing. Oxfam’s group volunteering days are a perfect way to add some creative flair to your working week, enjoy their lively environment and make a real difference to lives around the world.
“Team Ford were a wonderful group; enthusiastic about the volunteering activities and really interested to hear about Oxfam’s work in the UK and overseas. They found the photography task the most fun. Whilst I could hear hoots of laughter coming from the photography booth as they learnt how to dress the mannequin, they made a superb effort and in total raised £3000 for Oxfam during their day. “

“We had a great day…..Apart from raising nearly £3,000 worth of income for OXFAM (a new record!), we were also given a really good understanding of how the charity worked. We will return with more volunteers.”
