What: Food Saver Champions, helping to deliver food waste events and workshops

Volunteering Kirklees is urgently looking for volunteers to join its Food Waste Team to help deliver food saver events and workshops across Kirklees between now and the end of December.
We’re particularly looking for excellent communicators who are good with people and can chat to anyone, no matter what their background. The role would suit someone who is interested in cooking and reducing food waste, and could help deliver cookery demonstrations, events and workshops, and tastings. There are opportunities to be involved in the demos themselves, developing ideas, leading workshops, and promotion, depending on your skills and interests. You will need to be reliable and trustworthy and we will require references.
You will work as part of the Food Waste team, and be able to learn more about the issues around food and food waste. We will be able to provide support and training and pay travel expenses.
